YAO ZHANG – MD, MS (CHINA), LICENSED ACUPUNCTURIST, CERTIFIED CHINESE HERBALIST
Yao Zhang received her MD from Hebei Medical College in 1982 and her MS from China Academy of Traditional Chinese Medicine (Beijing) in 1987. She is one of the first ten practitioners to be certified (NCCAOM) as a Chinese Herbalist in the United States and has practiced acupuncture and herbal medicine since 1983.
In 1993, Yao founded NEAOHS in Arlington, MA and later clinics in Northborough, MA and Sudbury, MA. Yao taught at the New England School of Acupuncture for nine years and practiced acupuncture and herbal medicine at the Spence Center for Women’s Health in Cambridge, MA. She specializes in OB-GYN issues and internal medicine.
 
MICHELLE MINGXIA LU – LICENSED ACUPUNCTURIST, LICENSED CHINESE HERBALIST, M.D., PH.D. (IN TCM, CHINA).
Michelle received the most intensive training in acupuncture in China, including 5 years of study for Bachelor’s degree in acupuncture (Shandong University of Traditional Chinese Medicine) and 6 years of study for Doctoral degree in acupuncture(Tianjin University of Traditional Chinese Medicine). She began using acupuncture and Chinese herbs in 1994 to help solve her patients’ various health problems. Upon graduation with Ph.D. in 2001, she worked in the First Teaching Hospital of Tianjin TCM University for over five years, which is renowned for being the National Medical Center of Acupuncture and National Demonstration Organization of TCM Culture. She was conferred the professional title of Associate Professor of TCM  in 2003. After becoming Board Certified by the National Certification Commission of Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine (NCCAOM) and licensed by the Board of Registration in Medicine, MA, Michelle began practicing acupuncture and Chinese herbal medicine in the U.S. in 2007 and has been a popular teacher at the New England School of Acupuncture in Newton, MA since 2012.
Michelle specializes in women’s health problems, digestive issues, neurological disorders and pain management.
 
DEGUANG HE, LICENSED ACUPUNCTURIST AND CHINESE HERBALIST (M. D. IN CHINA)

Deguang graduated from Anhui College of Traditional Chinese Medicine in Heifei, China in 1984 with a Bachelor’s Degree in Traditional Chinese Medicine and from China Academy of Traditional Chinese Medicine in Beijing with a Master degree of Acupuncture & Medical Qigong in 1987. After graduation, he became a research staff, focusing on TCM and Medical Qi Gong, at the Institute of Acupuncture and Moxibustion of China Academy of Traditional Chinese Medicine in Beijing until 1991. In the same year he became a graduate student in Psychosomatic Medicine Department, Tokyo University. Deguang also practiced TCM at the Institute of Diabetes Mellitus & Obesity, Kanakawa, Japan and in Moscow, Soviet Union for short periods.

In 1997, Deguang relocated to United States and became a licensed Acupuncturist and Chinese Herbalist of Massachusetts and started practicing in Women’s Health center of North Shore Medical Center in Danvers, MA. In 1998, Deguang became an instructor of Medical Qigong & clinical supervisor of acupuncture and herbal medicine at New England School of Acupuncture. Simultaneously, Deguang also worked as an acupuncturist and instructor of Qigong & Taichi at the Cancer Center of Mass General Hospital.

QIN WANG – MD (CHINA), LICENSED ACUPUNCTURIST, CERTIFIED CHINESE HERBALIST

Ms. Wang graduated with an MD from Liaoning Traditional Medical College (China) in 1988 and subsequently worked as Physician in Charge and as a gynecologist at the Liaoning Traditional Medical Hospital and Liaoning Postal Hospital practicing acupuncture, herbal medicine, and Tui Na therapeutic bodywork. She has many years’ clinical experience in OB-GYN issues and pain management.

 

 

 

 

HING LAN LO – BA, AAS, MAOM, RN, LICENSED ACUPUNCTURIST, CHINESE HERBALIST

Hing ‘Lan’ Lo emigrated to the U.S. in 1986 from Hong Kong where she had worked as a teacher, researcher, and community worker. She worked as an RN in oncology before receiving a master’s degree in Oriental Medicine (MAOM) from the New England School of Acupuncture in 2002.

Ms. Lo believes acupuncture is a powerful tool for individuals to access their wholeness and healing power within, enabling the body to relieve pain and promote well-being. Her special interests are acute or chronic musculoskeletal pain management, radiation and chemotherapy support, autoimmune diseases such as IBS and MS, headache, stress reduction, depression, addiction recovery, menopausal issues, allergies and sinus problems. Ms. Lo also uses adjunctive therapies such as acupressure, qigong, cupping, gua sha, moxabustion, electroacupuncture and herbal prescriptions.

WERNJANE YUE YUE – LICENSED ORIENTAL MEDICINE PRACTITIONER

Wernjane Yue is a licensed oriental medicine practitioner. She earned her Master Degree of Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine from the New England School of Acupuncture. She was trained in the Chinese and Japanese styles of Acupuncture and Chinese herbal medicine. After graduating from NESA, she continued her advanced acupuncture training from the master Kiiko Matsumoto and herbal training from Dr. Tao Xie. She received further training in acupuncture and herbal medicine from the Zhe Jiang TCM hospital at Hang Zhou in China as well. Her style of treatment focuses on the whole body balance. Her expertise is in pain management, emotion, and GYN problems. She treats patients with chronic or acute pain from head to toes. She also treats patients with stress, anxiety, depression, and women’s health issues such as firtility, PMS, and menopausal syndromes. She has been practicing meditation and Tai Ji Quan for many years.

BEHROOZ MAHJORI SABET – ACUPUNCTURIST

Behrooz Mahjori Sabet received his Master’s degree in acupuncture from New England School of Acupuncture and is a graduate of Northeastern University (over 30 years ago). Behrooz is a Doctor of Acupuncture certified by R.I. Department of Health and Board of Registration in Medicine, certified acupuncturist by Massachusetts Board of Registration in Medicine, certified member of National Board of Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine (NCCAOM), and certified by Council of Colleges of Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine (CCAOM) in clean needle technique. He is a Member of the Society for Acupuncture Research and a Member of Health Professionals.

Behrooz is specialized in Chinese and Japanese style acupuncture and employs these two techniques based on a patient’s disorder and/or constitution. He is specialized in Pain Management, Muscular Skeletal, Stress, Facial Rejuvenation, Eating Disorder & Weight Loss, ADD, Skin Issues, Acne, Sleep Disorder, Sports Injuries, Concussion, Menopause Symptoms and Infertility.

Behrooz has treated patients in a variety of clinical settings, including Boston Medical Center’s Pediatric Intensive Care unit, Pathways to Wellness (formerly AIDS Care Clinic), Lemuel Shattuck Hospital and the Dimock Community Health Center. JOAN DEDIAN, LICENSED ACUPUNCTURIST

Ms. Dedian earned a Master’s Degree in Acupuncture from the New England School of Acupuncture and is licensed in the state of Massachusetts. Joan is nationally Board Certified by the National Certification Commission for Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine (NCCAOM). She is a 2004 graduate of the Institute for Integrative Nutrition and promotes a healthy lifestyle through a whole foods diet.

Joan transitioned to a career in oriental medicine after 25 years in the corporate world, when she learned of its healing power and classical emphasis on the mind, body and spirit connection. She specializes in working with teens and adults to resolve physical and emotional issues, which may result from stress. She completed Hari training and offers gentle non-insertive acupuncture and practices both Chinese and Japanese styles of acupuncture. She incorporates adjunctive therapies (electro acupuncture, tuina, cupping, and moxa) to provide the best possible treatment for each individual. Her goal is to help each person on their path to wellness.

VICTORIA TU- BE, MS, MAOM, LICENSED ACUPUNCTURIST, CERTIFIED CHINESE HERBALIST

Victoria Tu is certified by the National Certification Commission for Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine (NCCAOM) and is licensed by the Commonwealth of Massachusetts to practice acupuncture and Chinese herbal medicine.  She earned a master’s degree in Oriental Medicine from American College of Acupuncture & Oriental Medicine.  As a graduate student, she studied at Harvard School of Public Health (HSPH) in environmental health and earned a master’s degree of science in industrial hygiene.  After graduating from HSPH, she worked at MIT as an industrial hygienist.

Victoria’s interest in Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) began when she saw her uncle, a surgical physician, introducing TCM to his surgery procedures.  She uses all her teachings, knowledge and experience to optimize treatment of her patients, incorporating needling, Tui Na, Chinese herbs, cupping, Gua Sha, moxibustion, auricular therapy, and dietary/lifestyle recommendations to help treat her patients.  She utilizes various acupuncture styles with a focus on Master Tung’s style, Electro-Meridian Acupuncture to help bring healing and better health to her patients.

Victoria specializes in depression and diverse insomnia, OB-GYN issues, side effects from chemotherapy, internal medicine and pain management.

MEI-HUEI TU – ACUPUNCTURIST, CRANIAL SACRAL THERAPIST

Mei-Huei Tu graduated from the New England School of Acupuncture in 1993 and continued to study a wide variety of acupuncture styles and modalities. Mei studied Chinese philosophy including the I Ching, Tai Chi, and the Chinese medical classics. She practices acupuncture in the Master Tung style, which she learned from Dr. Wei-Chieh Young, one of only three direct disciples of Master Tung in North America. She also practices biodynamic craniosacral therapy, lymph drainage therapy and bian stone therapy, which uses the healing power of bian stones applied and massaged on muscles and joints.

Mei believes we are an integral part of nature and that all life is precious and interconnected. She views the body as having great powers of self-healing and sees herself as a facilitator of each patient’s healing journeys. Mei can provide treatment without needles at the patient’s request and her gentle style is suitable for sensitive patients. In her practice, she specializes in treating anxiety and depression, pain and stress-related disorders.
